Emmy Kasbit, Autumn / Winter 2018 at Lagos Fashion Week 2018 A/W Presentations. Launched in 2014 by Okoro Emmanuel, Emmy Kasbit was born out of a passion to dress unconventional men and women. The brand’s aesthetic is defined by clean and architectural cuts, and since winning the Fashion Focus Prize at Lagos Fashion Week in 2017, Emmy Kasbit’s recent collections have placed an emphasis on reinterpreting and reinventing vintage looks in a contemporary way using Akwete a woven material from the Eastern region of Nigeria.

This collection explores a style of clothing that is an unconventional interpretation of formalwear, intended to be impactful and chic enough to take the wearer from the boardroom to an event. The use of indigenous fabrics mixed with sartorial classics makes this a collection for the new-age African man and woman.
