Tim Killeen, 1988 Santa Cruz, Velasco, 10 km E of Comunidad Santa Rosa de la Roca (15°40'S; 61930'W) 400m. Eroded tertiary planation surface overlying precambrian shield; mosaic of forest, savanna and savanna wetland. Caespitose perennial, foliage bluish grey; rhizomes short and ascending, height to lm; in disturbed overgrazed and trampled seasonally inundated savanna, in very white wet sandy soils.
