Eroded tertiary planation surface overlying precambrian shield; mosaic of forest, savanna and savanna wetland. Caespitose perennial, foliage bluish grey; rhizomes short and ascending, height to lm; in disturbed overgrazed and trampled seasonally inundated savanna, in very white wet sandy soils.
