ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet performs the commissioning of the Gravitational References for Sensimotor Performance (GRASP) experiment, to better understand how the central nervous system (CNS) integrates information from different sensations. The data collected could help researchers better understand the workings of the human vestibular system and how it connects to the other sensory organs. This research hopes to shed light on how to best treat the loss of vestibular function on Earth.
