Derived from 16th century Italian and Germanic models, this cedar footstool (small bench) has a cut-out back and carved in low relief, showing a coat of arms with the initials MGS. Although made using simple fitting techniques, its use was noble, intended for heads of families or distinguished visitors. The piece is part of the MCB Collection.
