St. Elijah

The prophet Saint Elijah is the only figure from the Ancient Testament represented in the Basilica. He wears a robe and a cape and has in his left hand a book representing his premonitory writings and, in his right hand, a fire sword (missing) which he separated the waters of the Jordan before being taken to Heaven.
