Ankle-length asymmetrical dress in white tulle lace draped with sky blue silk damask. The bodice has a fitted inner dress in off-white cotton fabric with narrow straps on which the white tulle lace is duplicated. The middle part of the bodice on both the front and back is made out of tulle lace and loose lace is also draped over one shoulder, forming a small wide, short sleeve. The other shoulder is draped with blue silk damask, which continues over the back and front piece of the bodice on to the waist. The silk damask forms the other sleeve that goes down in a cone/tip that hangs along the arm and ends with a blue curtain tassel. Over the shoulder and the tulle sleeve there is a black tulle veil draped down over the waist on both the back and front. The veil is held in place by a waist band of black tulle that is richly embroidered with velvet applications in maroon and blue and pearl embroidery in black, blue, red and green. The dress skirt consists of an ankle-length lace skirt/"petticoat" in duplicated white tulle lace which also makes the bodice of the dress. This lace skirt is then loosely and asymmetrically draped with lengths of blue silk damask. The draping is held in place with snaps, leaving openings in the side and center front where the lace skirt is visible. The silk fabric is cut to form a long pointy tab on one side that goes down to the floor and finish at the end with a curtain tassel.

This evening gown is made from a Paul Poiret model. Paul Poiret was an important fashion maker in Paris at the beginning of the 20th century. He was very much inspired by the Russian Ballet that performed in Paris in 1909 and the costumes of which had oriental influences.
