The front board is bordered by a broad, black stripe with a zigzag edge on the inside. The series title appears on the inside field, at the top : A NYUGAT KÖNYVEI. Below, there is a rectangular field of thick twined foliage with leaves, bellflowers and birds, printed in orange and blue, contoured with black. The blue medallion of the centre depicts the four-lobed emblem of the NYUGAT publishing house. Below the ornamental field, the designer's mark appears at the bottom: FALUS E., The spine bears the title the back board has no decoration. The blue background of the endpaper is filled with small, white, tulip-like flowers and heart-shaped green leaves, starting from the side along the central axis and diagonal lines and growing gradually in size and number towards the centre.
