This elaborately carved takht was used in a gurdwara to seat several people at a time. It had raised sides with carved panels depicting stories from Indian epics. The front surface of the horizontal wooden members (that form the frame) and the brackets (fixed between the horizontal members and the legs) were also similarly carved.
