Face of mankind

David Leitner is a visual artist from Austria. His works are inspired by cultural diversity and have a figurative focus. Often staged and with a surreal twist, they aim to create an illogical space, referencing forgotten photographs of the past and putting them into a contemporary context. With his Open Gallery creation he seeks to reveal a world without borders, one that is beautiful in its diversity yet, at the same time, has a single face. This is our face, the face of mankind. Not everyone is happy – some are lonely and sad.
