It is a tradition for the mining associations to have their own magnificent flag. It was displayed at official ceremonies and parades such as, for example, Feast of Corpus Christi or Saint Barbara's Day. A Trinity figuration is depicted on the front on a dark-blue background with the lettering "Fraulautern St. Barbara association 1874 – 1954". The flag of the Fraulautern miners' association displays a Barbara figure embroidered on red velvet on the rear with a miner on his knees in prayer in front of her. The patron saint is displayed proportionately larger than the miner which further reinforces the humble air of the worshipper.
