Knife comprised of a wooden handle and an engraved iron blade stored in a wooden sheath made of two flat pieces of wood held together with the skin of a lizard. In Fang culture, these knives were a symbol of power and prestige and were highly valued as they had monetary value when purchasing women. A woman could be worth 12 of these kinds of knives or a thousand of the smallest knives, which had to be paid like a dowry would be to a girlfriend or future wife.
