'Feestgericht' is a narrative ballet in which an ordinary holiday turns into a trial by the community: a nightmare of violence - caused by jealousy, and the assumption of the crowd that they can take the law into their own hands.

Together with 'Giovinezza' (Rudi van Dantzig), 'De Maan in de Trapeze' (Hans van Manen), and 'Four Times Six' (Benjamin Harkarvy), this ballet was shown during the first ever performance by NDT which took place in Oostende in 1959.
