The famous atlas by Fernão Vaz Dourado's (c. 1520–c.1580) depicts the coasts discovered by Ferdinand Magellan; conveniently, for the interests of the author's country, the dividing line of the Treaty of Tordesillas is drawn with the Moluccas falling into the Portuguese hemisphere.
