The 1990 proved an exciting time for animation. Matt Groening introduced _The Simpsons.__ _Ren and Stimpy__ provided strange graphics that brought relegated art into the commercial realm. _Tiny Toon Adventures,__ _Animaniacs,__ and _Rocko_s Modern Life__ parodied everything from Edgar Allen Poe to the President. Cartoons of the 1990 contained intellectual complexity, avant-garde animation, and many double-entendres. _Bump in the Night__ was a stop-motion animated series that aired from 1994 to 1995. The series presented the story of Mr. Bumpy, a small green monster, that lived under the bed of a 10-year-old boy. Mr. Bumpy ate dirty sucks and dust bunnies and hung-out with his friends, Squishington, a blue monster that lived in the toilet tank, and Molly Coddle, a Frankenstein-like rag doll that belonged to the boy_s sister. The show put a playful variation on the monsters under the bed and bogeyman stories that have kept many children up at night.
