Miner's figurine

The bent posture of this figurine with miner's lamp and lunchbox pays tribute to the hard work underground. Figures such as this one were often cast by the miners themselves. The lead used for this came, for example, from old electric cables. To this end, an already existing figure was pressed into moulding sand and cast in lead. In this manner, already existing figures could be duplicated further.
