Plaster cast from an original in Greek marble, originally also identified as Zeno, from the 3rd century AD preserved at the Capitoline Museums in Rome. The original, discovered in 1701, comes from a Lanuvium villa. The Bolognese specimen, a gift from Benedict XIV, is attributable to the mid-eighteenth century.
