This fish hook is made from wood, with two struts, one carved with a two-headed zoomorphic figure. A short piece of cord goes through the figure, and at the top of the other strut is a sharp bone point secured with reed; from North West American Pacific coast, circa 1794. From the collection of Rear Admiral Spelman Swaine, R.N. of Leverington, Wisbech, who accompanied Vancouver on his voyage in the 'Discovery' 1791-1795.
