Rafael Aguado was a Regionalist painter who trained in Zaragoza and Madrid, where he came across the painter Eduardo Chicharro, who became his mentor. His work stands out for its Modernist posters and landscape iconography. It is decorative in style and takes in subjects around the city. Later, he covered other Spanish communities with a more objective sense of Figurativism and a pleasant palette.
