The annual summer bird show at Carolina Raptor Center features native and exotic species birds of prey including "Queen Beatrice," or just "Bea" to her friends. Her wings barely whisper as she flies over the crowd, showing why owls are often called "silent ninjas." Her large size is a bit intimidating, but she's a real softy with over 4,000 feathers -- each of which she can control separately.
