Bamboo can break if forcefully bent, so artists must weave bamboo into the desired shape by “talking to the bamboo”. While intricate weaving may seem a difficult task, it is the weaving of only few strips requiring a good understanding of the bamboo’s resilience that is the harder to achieve.
