The amateur photographer Joseph Eschenlohr (1886-1978) spent time in Nuremberg, among other places, between the 1930s and 1950s. On his travels, he captured the city in color slides. The photograph shows a flower stand in front of a side portal of a church, presumably the Frauenkirche (Catholic City Parish Church of Our Lady), which was destroyed in 1945 and rebuilt after the original as early as 1947; inscription slide frame: "Nürnberg 1938."
