This oil painting arises from several walks in the fields of my city, excursions along the river island and the vegetable gardens surrounding Tudela.
Normally, I do small sketches of natural settings, small notes with a pencil or charcoal of the flowers or landscapes that I find along the way. This is the material that I use in the workshop to carry out the paintings, like this one, which because of their format, they are more a recreation, a work of improvisation than a mere copy of the natural. Well, with this material and in the studio, I usually carry out these types of paintings. This one in particular combines the vital mood with an observation that is also replete with forms of nature. Thus we could say that this painting brings together two aspects within it, the mental (spiritual feeling of bliss) and the formal. Plastically, the shapes and colours are a song, a declaration of principles about the best moments of exultant vitality. We could say that it is a visual poem, an ode to the joy of living.
