For a Generation not yet Born: The Louisiana Slave Revolt of 1811

This narrative quilt combines references ranging from the 1811 revolt by enslaved people outside of New Orleans, to impressions of railroad lines woven out of grass and bone, and ships on the Mississippi River meant to evoke histories of the transatlantic slave trade.
