Former Dining Room, Alexandra Palace

Alexandra Palace

Alexandra Palace
London, United Kingdom

Former dining room at Alexandra Palace, taken over during the First World War. Next to a dormitory, this space appears to be used for recreation, with a piano in one corner. It may have been rehearsal space for the interned musicians' Konzert Verein. In 1935, this room would be adapted by Marconi-EMI for their studios for the BBC television service.
