Fragment of a Buddhist banner, birds and flower roundels design on salmon pink ground

This fabric is dyed by clamped resist dyeing with three colors, after folded into two lengthwise. Its pattern is composed of looped-six-flower roundels and flying birds. Such patterns and techniques were often used in Tang Dynasty. Its top comes in the shape of a triangle, so maybe it was part of a Buddhist banner.
