  • Viewing Notes: The technique of this lace is based on those of earlier needle-made laces. In this border all the forms are curvilinear and there are sharp contrasts between dense and open areas. Note the use of a raised outline: a heavy cord covered by looping or buttonhole stitch, sometimes detached but generally sewn to solid areas of looping.
