Framed Insect Art

Framed artwork made entirely of insects. Reads “Niagara Falls Museum, T. Barnett, To Raise the Genius, to Mend the Heart”. Dated to circa 1850, displays almost 900 beetles. Treatment was completed by the Canadian Conservation institute in 2019. The Niagara Falls Museum, considered to be Canada’s oldest museum, was established by Thomas Barnett in 1831.
