The book "Livre des pélerins polonais" published in 1833 is the first French-language edition of Adam Mickiewicz’s “Księgi narodu polskiego i pielgrzymstwa polskiego” [“Books of the Polish Nation and Its Pilgrimage”], translated by Charles Forbes Montalembert. The co-published “Hymne a la Pologne”, on the other hand, was written by Mickiewicz's friend and Montalembert's colleague - Félicité-Robert de Lamennais.
