In the first half of the nineteenth century, the noble residences` and public buildings` architecture belonged to neoclassicism. The trend was somehow imposed by the major transformations conducted by Pavel Kiseleff, the Russian presence in Romania favoring a French influence in culture. In its first phase of existence dominated by arch. Burelly, it`s possible that the House was decorated with Pompeian style frescos in all the major rooms.
