The painting represents a ttravel from Pasomoki to Gola, a symbolic life journey full of hardships accentuated in cold, dark colors. The impact of Ivana Vecenaj's paintings is visible in the forms of plants and in particular in the form of a crucifix. A horizontally disposed boat nn the foreground. In the second plan vertically oriented boat thus the entire composition focuses in depth and rhythm to the boat especially in the third plan where the figures lose their characteristics and become dark abstract forms. Alen Gjerek was born in 1970 in a village Drnje near Koprivnica. He began with pencil drawings in elementary school Drnje and afterwards decided to devote himself to painting in oil on glass. He lives and works in Koprivnica.
