- About the series: Kraków – Gloomy Poetry: Kraków is the second largest city of Poland in the east of Europe. The city presents itself with several renaissance buildings and picturesque streets. The city contains beautiful and elegant architecture, along with old, obscure and brittle districts. I felt especially drawn to the Jewish district Kazimierz where the streets make you feel like you’re walking back in time. To amble around the Jewish Quarter is by far the best way to savour Kraków’s charm…
- About the Photographer: Victoria Knobloch, b.1981, Germany, is a German photographer whose favourite genres are the character portrait, street photography as well as documentaries with social and spiritual impact. She has a sharp eye and is attracted to capturing the essence of people's struggles, delights and human emotions at their widest variety.
