About the series: Re-Generation:
Old family photographs remind us of our past, where we have come from and the silent stories that these photographs insinuate. Her work builds on the presumed veracity of photographs to spur a critical reflection on the power of photography and its effect on the perception of memories, family and the warping of cultures over time. Using digital technology, Annu reorients the viewer’s connection to time as she collapses the presumed progression of its borders, so the past and present appear in the same virtual space.
