A very thickly inhabited area situates to the north of Karwan Road is visible on the map. Karwan was the major suburbs since the medieval times lies between south-east of Golconda Fort and Purana Pul Bridge. The suburb was planned by Qutb Shahi Kings and was the medium through which kings were entered into the city. A number of streets lanes are heading off from the Karwan road, are Gumbaz Kalan Lane, Sang Tola Police Station Lane, Satna Gali, Jamadar Lane, Musta-idpura Lane, Muhi-ud-Din Masjid Lane, etc and between these lanes set up residences identifiable. Besides the residences, gardens, temples, Masjid, stepwells, graves, Dargah and Ashur Khana are visible in considerable number.
