These shoes are believed to have been excavated from a tomb near Gongju. With gemetric openwork designs and gold plating, they are the kind of footwear that was buried in royal tombs. This type of shoes has also been found in the Bokam-ri No.3 tomb, the Sinchon-ri No.9 tomb in Naju, and the Ipjeom-ri Tomb in Iksan.
