The ornamentation and decoration of a sandook would entirely depend on the aesthetic sensibilities of the owners who commissioned them and the craftspeople who made them. The lady of the house recently had this sandook refurbished and painted in these vivid colours and motifs to commemorate the memory of her mother-in-law who originally owned it.
