A chakki has two parts, the chagdi (circular grinding stones) and ghera (collecting tray). In this chakki, the chagdi were housed on a mud ghera. Some chakki have a wooden wedge at the bottom that allows the gap between the chagdi to be adjusted. The gap determines the texture (coarse or fine) of the flour.
