Though incomplete, this checkerboard shows one of the classic game types manufactured by Parker Brothers, and many other game publishers, as part of regular inventory during the early 20th century. Many people enjoyed playing checkers or chess and manufacturers produced sets like this to replace old or worn-out versions, or to serve as gifts. Parker's design features a bright green and tan checkerboard.
