The A.C. Gilbert company of New Haven, CT is well known for production of Erector construction sets. The firm at one time also produced other types of toys, under it Mysto Mfg. Co name. Mysto specialized in magic sets but also made their "Gilbert Puzzle Parties." Sold together as sets, these metal puzzles intrigued young and old alike. At one time A.C. Gilbert employed more people, in New Haven, than any other firm.
