Invented in 2010, Square Shooters is the first deck of cards printed on the sides of nine dice. The game is marketed to play a specific game, "Square Shooters," but the dice can also be used to play many regular card games such as rummy and poker. The very first playing cards resembled dominoes: the markings, or "pips," were meant to represent all the possible rolls of a pair of dice--and playing cards carry pips as well. If that is true, then playing cards have come full circle in their history.
