This view is one of two by the artist depicting an undergraduate's room (probably in Christ Church) at Oxford College. The room features a green patterned carpet; printed slipcovered seating furniture and matching curtains; a large table covered with a green tablecloth; and framed watercolors lining the walls. A view into an adjoining room is seen through the open door at the center rear.
