A silver cup decorated with engravings of two scenes from the parable of the prodigal son. Individual scenes are surrounded, and separated from each other, by decorative vine. The first scene features the prodigal son feeding pigs at the trough after he has squandered all his property, the other scene depicts the son kneeling in an embrace of the forgiving father. The cup is gilded inside. The ornaments were made with niello, while the engraving creates a darker image.
