A pair of hairpins used by the Consort of Imperial Prince Yeong were set on two sides of the front part of the queen’s ceremonial hairpiece of a large wig, worn together with a ceremonial pheasant robe. The head of the hairpin is carved in the shape of a dragon holding the pearl of wisdom in its mouth. The mouth, filled with red beeswax, has a red glass bead inside, but only small portion of the bead is visible. The whole piece is gold-plated, but two small pearls which had been studded in the eyes are missing.
