This Hyungbae is sewn on Yi, Ha-eung's burgundy Danryeong and is embroidered by blocking stitches with gold and silver threads on the ink blue satin ground. According to the record of the national protocols 『Kyeongkuk-daejeon』, the Girin-Hyungbae was used for princes and royal household in 12th year of Jeongjo' reign(1788). But later it changed to a tortoise insignia for the father of Emperor Gojong(1895). Thus we can tell this was used before 1895.
