Plaster cast of a statue consisting of an original torso from a copy of the Discobolus of Mirone, restored by Pierre Etienne Monnot (1650-1733) to represent a gladiator standing on his left arm while falling to the ground, preserved in the Capitoline Museums. The cast, donated by Benedict XIV, is ascribable to the mid-eighteenth century and arrives in Bologna, together with the others indicated by the Pope, in 1757.
