Mamluk glass vessels from JerusalemThe bowls were made of dark purple glass and decorated with embedded white trails, using a technique called marvering.

Sprinklers were a common type of glass vessel in Jerusalem, as they were used for sprinkling rose water on graves and during a special ceremony held in the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem.
