The goat skin is got from either a young or old goat which has died or been killed. The skin is carefully slaughtered with hardly any hole is cut. It is washed with water and then pinned nicely on the ground to dry. It is used as one of the body covering aprons tied also on one side of the shoulder. It is used as body ornament for dances and in most cases by old men who wear them underneath the arm i.e when going for a funeral, marriage ceremonies and such like gatherings. The type of wearing is still in full swing among the Luos up to the present time. It is their choice from long time ago.
