Gokjeong Pildam

This is a collection of dialogues between Bak Ji-won (pen-name: Yeonam) and local people in Jehol, China including Wang Minhao, a man of letters of the Qing Dynasty of China. Readers will note that Bak Ji-won talks about the closeness of Joseon and Confucianism, and may be surprised to discover Wang’s liberal world views on such matters as evolutionary theory and geocentricism.
