Gold Headband Mask

This piece was created by heating a thin plate of gold, and hammering it over a die. It would have been attached to a headband made of cloth, sometimes with valuable feathers woven in, and worn by Political and religious leaders. Nazca, 100 B.C. – 550 A.D.
