In 1975 in Faenza, the Aesthetic Research Laboratory of the Iris Ceramica Group, who for some time had worked on rediscovering great craftsman traditions in ceramics, received a gold medal from the President of the Republic (at the time Giovanni Leone). Iris surfaces were the first to be displayed at the museum of ceramics in Faenza.
