Gold medal won by Frank Beaurepaire for first place in the 880 Yards swim at the A.A.S.C., 8th February, 1908. Medal features A.A.S.C. monogram with surrounding text in legend that reads "AUSTRALASIAN AMATEUR SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS". Small gold swan attached to top of medal via two metal rings. Reverse features image of swimmers in water (one diving) and the legend inscription reads "880 YARDS F. BEAUREPAIRE VIC TIME 11 MIN 58 3/5 SECS.". Inscription on reverse of swan reads "8/2/08".
